FF Tisa Pro

For this exercise I recieved a few letters and had to guess what the other letetrs would look like. I enjoyed this task as the task before helped me determine what features each typeface has.

I was able to see the features and what type of serifs or sans-serifs I needed. This task allowed me to make judgements and measure up accordingly to then draw out my own letters using the FF Tisa Pro typeface.

Funeral invitation

I was so intrigued by all the collections, however this funeral invitation caught my eye as it is something I have never seen before.

I was drawn to how thin and delicate it looked and how old it must’ve been for the reaosn that now we hardly see invitations like this and this big. The way it is, I believe it must’ve been for a well known rich special family possibly upper class.

To the left side, the black thing, I analysed it and I believe it is a wax seal as when the plastic was taken off the invitation I looked closely at it and I could see some designs and patterns on the wax seal, which again could represent wealthiness as maybe only rich upper class people could afford wax seals.

Techniques learnt from Indesign

Reading film theatre (red and black-final)

Shown here is my cinema listing I created on Indesign. I chose to use this specific title as it reflects on my learning from this task. The reason it reflects so well is because from creating my two listings (one is showed here) I learnt new things and enhanced my knowledge on some of the techniques.

Before doing this task I struggled with using paragraph styles and characters and now I feel a lot more confident with using them for future tasks/projects. When I did stuggle to create some things or find some things I used the internet and researched how to overcome the issue.

Some issues I did overcome while creating my two listings were having to stop forcing line breaks, instead i used paragraph styles to help me. Overall I feel I have learnt a lot from this, one being to ask for feedback to improve my work and ideas as the feedback I recieved helped me to make my final outcome better.

Noise

I created this based on the storyline of Noise, where a brother and a sister inherit their parents house and oneday they hear a noise and escape out of a smaller section through a door. The several doors I created using a craft knife and sicssors, shows the smaller sections they go through day by day to escape to finally go onto the road through a small window empty-handed.

Great Gatsby

Here is my version of the Great Gatsby using the video tutorial.

Nasrin designer

My logo is based of the 90’s style clothing. My mood board shows the 90’s popular clothing, the colour schemes and fonts for most logos/brands, and some famous branding. I chose to create my logo as being bright and vibrant just like most posters, logos and or brands in the 90’s. I named it The 90’s style in the beginning then changed it to Nasrin designer. The font chosen is based of the fonts used mostly in the 90’s and the name in caps makes it stand out way more. I chose similar colours to what I have gathered in my mood board too.

Dairy free chocolate bar

dairy free chocolate bar

This is my chocolate bar for Jack. His 3 words were, lactose intolerent, sicknote(because he is always injured) and QPR.

I designed this dairy free chocolate bar that comes with a free QPR ticket. This bar contains all nutrients that he lacks from not having dairy.

Dracula Coverpage

Here is my own book cover I chose to create. I decided to go with Dracula as it is a well known film/book. I added my own touch and added a bat at the bottom insted of the famous penguin from all penguin books.

Letters in environment- Colourful sans serif

I went around university, and took pictures of different typography. My theme was colour, I chose to capture many images with typography in it that had colour.

All the words and letters I captured were sans serif.
